Lucesca is made at our home in Magliano in Toscana. Magliano is a small town in the southern part of Tuscany. We pride ourselves on making olive oil that is just about as fresh as it gets! Everything is homemade: the harvest, pressing, and bottling all take place in Magliano.
We use four different types of olives: Frantoio, Moraiolo, Leccino, and Pendolino. These are very high-quality olives native to Tuscany. We never mix! Our oil is 100% made from these olives, grown at home.
Yes! While olive oils are often blended with olives of different qualities and from numerous countries, Lucesca is made from 100% Tuscan olives. Frantoio, Moraiolo, Leccino, and Pendolino olives are high quality – made for drizzling and dipping, not cooking.
Our product is small-batch made from olives picked entirely at our home. We have nearly 2,000 olive trees that produce olive oil each year...once they have been picked and the bottles have sold out, we have to wait until next year’s harvest to produce!
Lucesca comes in 3 different kinds of bottles: ceramic, glass, and tin. All containers have 0.5L of the same Lucesca olive oil.
